Hey Everyone!
It’s been a little too long since I last sent out one of these, and despite it being mid-December already, this is the NOVEMBER newsletter. There have been a few delays as I’ve moved this newsletter from our old platform to here on Substack, and it’s now called “Robots, Ninjas, & Monkeys” (That the “RNM” in “RNM Press”).
What’s New?
First off, this newsletter is now part of Substack, which will allow us to comment and chat about each update, read archived updates, and a host of other features that I’ll be able to utilize in my attempts to entertain and educate you. : )
The biggest news of the moment is the great success we had with the Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone Kickstarter campaign! We not only funded, but hit a couple of our stretch goals to boot. Thanks to all the generous backers who helped make this happen, I am truly grateful.
In case you missed it, we had three great cover options from interior artist Gonzalo Martinez, a variant from Green Lantern: Earth One writer/artist Gabriel Hardman, and Star Wars/Star Trek cover artist Liana Kangas created the Zombietown variant:
What’s Next?
We’re not resting on our laurels over here at RNM HQ, no siree! Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #2 is already under way! Just this past week, artists Gonzalo Martinez and Gonzalo Ruggieri have begun pencilling the pages for the next issue.
I cannot say enough how lucky I am to collaborate with such great artists — I still get goosebumps when I see new layouts, sketches or pages come in from them as they bring the script to life in ways I never envisioned.
Next month I’ll have some real previews to share with you, but for now, here are Gonzalo’s thumbnails for the main Bix story next issue.
Each month I pick a random subscriber to this very newsletter and bestow upon them a limited edition hardcover copy of Bixby Grant, Private Eye in Wolf, She Cried, FREE of CHARGE. This book is ONLY available to subscriber of the RNM Press Newsletter.
NOVEMBER’S WINNER IS… ROGER LONG!
Congratulations, Roger! Your book is in the mail!
OK, that wraps it up for this installment, but I’ll be back with more updates and news in just a couple weeks.
Until then!
